Who we are

Tesla Food Distribution is an Egyptian owned and managed company. Our main business involves manufacturing, redistributing, and exporting a diverse range of food products such as tea, coffee, instant noodles, chocolate, biscuits, chips, soda, energy drinks, canned and frozen foods, herbs, spices, oils, and more.

After many years of working locally in Egypt to companies that exported on our behalf, our company began direct exporting in 2010 as National Herbs, aiming to establish a bigger market for Egyptian products in Europe, Asia and beyond. Our network consists of a congregation of farmers, factories, processing facilities, private label producers, retailers and wholesalers some of whom have over 40 years of experience in the foodstuff business. As years went by, we have expanded our business in Egypt from working in the field of production of agricultural products to include branches and distribution points in Hungary, Turkey, Germany, Italy, Palestine, Qatar, Iraq, Libya, to produce and redistribute almost all types of food products that can be sold in a supermarket.

Our company maintains complete control over the production process, from production and procuring of raw materials until product loading and shipment to our clients. Our production and processing facilities are equipped with machine lines and skillful personnel handling the entire production process. Packaging and storing also takes place within our facilities, making sure that the product meets the standards of our clients.

We proudly have an ever-growing list of loyal clients around the world. From high quality coffee beans grown in our farms in Colombia, to our own brands of premium instant coffee, tea, chocolate spread, and our capability to produce almost any food product with your or our private label, we are your Genie-in-a-lamp.

At Tesla Food Distribution, we understand the critical importance of quality when it comes to our products and service. Our primary goal is to export top-notch goods that consistently meet the expectations of our clients and consumers. We are committed to timely order fulfillment and strive to maintain competitive market prices.

Our contribution to the community

Working in the field of import & export is quite profitable. Yet, we cannot rise alone without the essential base that keeps our company alive. The definition of social responsibility is that a business should balance its profit-making activities with those activities of the society in which the business gets the goods/services from. This also involves the development of the business with a positive relationship to the direct society in which the business operates. Since our establishment in 2010, this has been one of our main aims. Our social responsibility is divided into three parts; community and nature, workers related to our company, and suppliers. We provide training and workshops for farmers of the local communities where our herbs are grown. During these workshops we focus on farming methods where reduction in pesticides, reduction in waste and methods of improved recycling are explained. In our industry, we have the benefit that our waste can directly be used back into the soil in the form of compost. One of our products is also mint hay, which can be used as animal feed. We educate our farmers on the best farming practices; advise them on the best products to grow and how to use natural elements – sun-drying of herbs – instead of machinery which directly contributes to high usage of energy and pollution.
Running a business that supplies large amounts of fresh, dried, and processed products requires many workers. These workers include farmers, sorters, packers and their families. Many of our workers are uneducated and so are their family members. With lack of education comes financial struggles and they often live from one day to the next, with no financial prospects.

We, therefore, provide education to our workers, farmers and their children within the communities where they live. When it comes to our suppliers, our main goal is to promote fair pricing. Second to that is our aim to source products worldwide; creating that central trading point where traders from all over the world can showcase their products and trade worldwide. In general, Tesla Food Distribution is very proud to help uplift the communities of our locals who live on the workers and farms where our raw materials are turned into goods. The wives and mothers of our workers are talented in handicrafts and we aim to promote their talents to the rest of the world. If you are interested in supporting our communities in Egypt, please get in touch to create partnerships so that these families can lead better lives and generate more benefits for their communities. We involve local farmers, establish jobs in the community and promote entrepreneurship.
